For customers who are not yet ready for the cloud, Office offers three suites that are available through volume licensing-Office Professional Plus 2019, Office Standard 2019, and Office Standard 2019 for Mac. For example, if you're licensed for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 through Volume Licensing, you can use Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 instead. Downgrade Rights in Volume Licensing programs give you the right to use any prior version of the same product. You can download the VL Serializer by signing into the Volume Licensing Service Center.
To activate a volume licensed version of Office 2019 for Mac or Office 2016 for Mac, use the Volume License (VL) Serializer. Activate volume licensed versions of Office for Mac.
